Erin and I met through our parents who worked together overseas. We were both living in Brooklyn, and got together with our mothers for a Mother's Day brunch. After that, we were inseparable, going for runs together in Prospect Park and bonding over our expat childhoods, obsession for dogs, wine and ice cream. We continued our adventures when we both lived in Nashville, where she met Colby. Needless to say, I was honored when she asked me to shoot their beautiful wedding in New Orleans. She got ready at the Jon Vaccari Design House which was a photographer's dream, full of gorgeous and unique pieces of furniture and artwork. I was obsessed with all her details including her dress, shoes, ring, and blue robes from Peacock Alley (where she works) that she gifted to her bridesmaids.
